  Jacks NRA Class offers Connecticut's Premier Firearms Instruction.

We offer a full array of NRA Classes and several of our own firearm classes.  We have small class sizes, weekday, and weekend classes. If you are looking for one on one personal classes and/or coaching sessions we can arrange that also.

We offer Less Than Lethal Training for people who want a self protection option other than a firearm. We are a Dealer / Instructor for Taser civilian models and also a Sabre Pepper spray Instructor.

Due to the current laws that were put in place on April 4, 2013, It would be a lot easier for the general public to get their pistol permits. I know that a lot of people out there do not own a pistol or want to own one, but now it meets the requirements to purchase ammo and long guns and is valid for 5 years. I am not sure of any details yet on the new ammo and long gun certificates and how to get them, I am not sure if they have anything in place yet, so the permit is your best bet for now.

****** Please Take Note: The NRA Basic Pistol Class is an 8 hr class, with a live fire portion!!!  Some instructors are promoting it as a less then 8 hr class, some without a live fire portion, some without the written test, and some as a self study option.  This is NOT correct, if you come across these people walk away. The State is cracking down on these Instructors and their students. The class they give does NOT meet the State Of CT standard of training for the CT Carry Permit. Students have had thier permits revoked and had to retake the class. Not only is it a disservice to the student but to all ligitmate instructors out there. *******
